First of all, we should understand that the drop point is a reference data to judge the maximum temperature of high-temperature grease. Generally, the service temperature of ordinary grease is about 30 ℃ lower than its drop point. The dropping point of lubricating grease is the test result under one condition, which can only indicate the temperature at which a certain grease melts or softens and drops under the same conditions. This does not represent its actual operating temperature, but can only be used as a reference. For the newly developed non drop point grease on the market, it uses inorganic or organic substances as thickener and will not drip under test conditions, so it is called "non drop point" grease.
Temperature not only plays a decisive role in the oxidation and deterioration of lubricating oil, but also is an important factor affecting the formation of deposits on the surface of engine parts. Too high or too low temperature will lead to the formation of sediments of different properties.
In fact, the "no drop point" of high-temperature grease does not mean that it can withstand high temperature, because there are only two aspects that determine the high-temperature resistance of grease: one is base oil; The second is thickening agent. Generally speaking, the base oil has a greater impact on the determination of whether the high temperature grease is resistant to high temperature.
If the temperature exceeds 250 ℃, the sticking ring will become a serious problem, and efficient clean lubricating oil is required to ensure the safe operation of the engine.
General mineral oil can withstand 120-150 ℃ high temperature and 180 ℃ short time, while synthetic oil can withstand higher temperature. Therefore, the non dropping point grease using mineral oil as base oil does not necessarily have high temperature resistance. Whether it can be used well under high temperature conditions depends on whether its performance is good and whether it meets the service conditions, which can not be satisfied without dropping point.
They are all non drop point EP composite full synthetic greases produced by special processes and formulas. They are all non drop point products. They have unique high-temperature thermal stability, are not easy to oxidize under high-temperature conditions, and the unlubricated parts continue to provide lubrication effect. Because the fully synthetic lubricating oil is used as the base oil, the high-temperature lubricating grease will not coke and carbon deposit during continuous operation under high temperature conditions. It has excellent adhesion, water resistance, mechanical stability and protection ability to effectively prevent the operating parts from being eroded by the external environment.
